Too Much Noise

Right now one in five American teens suffer from some form of hearing loss, according to a study by the Journal of the American Medical Association. In 1994 that rate was roughly one in eight.

Much of the rise in teen hearing loss is attributed to Noise Induced Hearing Loss, a form of hearing loss that develops when the inner ear is damaged by prolonged exposure to harmful sound levels.

We spoke with the Audiology specialists at  Lake Ear, Nose, Throat & Facial Plastic Surgery to find out how much noise is too much noise…
