Hearing loss is a common problem affecting about one-third of older Americans. It can be caused by noise, aging, disease, or heredity and if ignored, will almost certainly get worse over time.
Each May, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association recognizes Better Hearing & Speech Month to raise awareness about the importance of communication.
Dr. of Audiology, Paige Holt, with the Hearing Aid and Audiology Specialists at Lake Ear, Nose, Throat & Facial Plastic Surgery talked to us about some of the early warning signs of hearing loss, it’s causes and why it’s important to get a baseline hearing test.
