Foot and Ankle

Sole-ful Summer

It’s summertime, it’s hot outside, and that can mean some pretty rough days ahead for our feet. After all, they keep us moving about 5,000 steps a day; and enable us to stand for long periods of time- all the while bearing our weight. Those hard-working feet deserve a little more attention than you’re probably giving them.

We checked in with the specialists at Tri-County Foot & Ankle to get some advice for putting our best feet forward all summer long.

We’ll also take a moment to update you on the Tri County Foot and Ankle shoe drive from back in May.

Saving Grace

Neuropathy is a common and serious type of nerve damage that is often caused by diabetes. The condition usually develops slowly and can lead to a lack of feeling in the legs and feet, making its victims vulnerable to injuries or infections.

One local Lady Lake man credits Tri-County Foot and Ankle with saving his foot after he developed an infection from diabetic neuropathy that led to a close call with amputation.
