Scientists at the University of Reading in Great Britain have found that turmeric

significantly decreased the prevalence of IBS in study participants.

Another study out of the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences in India showed that turmeric was able to improve gastrointestinal disorders in laboratory rats.

All researchers agree that more studies are needed to further establish these results.
