Hepatitis Explained

The month of May is designated as Hepatitis Awareness Month with May 19th set aside for Hepatitis Testing Day.

The goal of Hepatitis Testing Day is to help raise awareness of hepatitis B and hepatitis C and to encourage more individuals to learn their status.

Gut Feeling

Scientists at the University of Reading in Great Britain have found that turmeric

significantly decreased the prevalence of IBS in study participants.

Another study out of the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences in India showed that turmeric was able to improve gastrointestinal disorders in laboratory rats.

All researchers agree that more studies are needed to further establish these results.
