Do Your Heart Good

The month of February is dedicated to heart health awareness. And one of the best ways to ward off heart disease is prevention.

Prevention comes in many forms: a healthy diet, regular check ups and a commitment to daily exercise.

Dr. Nitza Alvarez, cardiologist at the Tri-County Heart Institute explains the role of exercise in preventing a heart attack.

Digital Medicine

Tri-County Heart Institute is adding telemedicine to their list of patient services. Cardiologist, Dr. Nitza Alvarez explains how their new healow app with Televisit for smart phones and tablets, is providing patients with more staff accessibility, faster response and flexibility for patients with busy, active lifestyles.

Plus, join Dr. Alvarez every second Saturday of the month for Walk With a Doc. Participants will enjoy a brief presentation on an important health topic followed by a “walk-at-your-own-pace” lead by Dr. Alvarez.

Also, Dr. Alvarez would like to invite you to her free lecture as part of February’s Heart Health Month and Go Red For Women… Presented by Central Florida Health.
