Got Milk? Maybe so, but it doesn't look like US consumers are actually buying the stuff.

According to a report by the US Department of Agriculture, between 2009 and 2018 traditional milk consumption declined by 19%.

Sleep? Fat Chance!


Eating too much sugar, and unhealthy fats? Maybe you need more sleep!

Researchers from Columbia University's Irving Medical Center examined the sleep quality, and the dietary patterns, of nearly 500 women. They found that the more the women consumed added sugars, saturated fats and caffeine, the poorer their quality of sleep, and the less they slept.

The proposal seeks to outlaw life, disability and long-term care insurers from denying policies or setting premiums based on their customer’s genetic information.

For teens, quality sleep is even more critical. Exposure to too much blue light emitted from screens on smartphones, tablets, and computers can affect the brain’s clock and the production of the sleep hormone melatonin, disrupting sleep time and quality.

Colorectal Cancer Awareness

The month of March is not just known for St. Patrick’s Day, March Madness and the beginning of spring. It is also known as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.

According to the American Cancer Society, colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer among men and women in the United States. It is estimated that approximately 140,000 new cases will be diagnosed this year, and over 50,000 people will lose their lives to the disease.
